Stephanie Howard is the Senior Director of Programs & Partnerships at EdPrep Partners, where she leads robust program diagnostic reviews that lead educator preparation programs from data-driven insights about their programming to scaled, sustainable improvements in program design, clinical experiences, coursework, and partnerships with P-12 partners. Beyond program leadership and diagnostics she plays a pivotal role in cultivating impactful relationships with state education agencies, philanthropic funders, school districts, and partners technical assistance providers committed to dramatically improving the quality of teacher preparation. In her role, Stephanie focuses on shaping our collective national dialogue grounded in EdPrep Partners’ mission—working alongside partners to build alignment and extend our collective impact for teacher candidates and P-12 students.

A seasoned leader in educator preparation and systemic improvement, Stephanie is driven by the belief that every student deserves an exceptional teacher, beginning with high-quality teacher preparation. Her work has focused on strengthening programs through rigorous program diagnostics, focused technical assistance to build program capacity in what matters most to candidate development, and large-scale strategic partnerships that drive last change.



Before joining EdPrep Partners, Stephanie supported preparation programs and state agencies at another national organization, providing diagnostic reviews and improvement-focused support. Her background spans teacher preparation, district leadership, and classroom instruction—as an award-winning educator committed to instructional excellence.
