Petra Claflin began her teaching career in 2000 and has been involved in novice teacher training and support since 2002. In addition to serving in instructional leadership positions in three public school districts in Texas, Petra has trained and coached alternative certification candidates for Teach For America, Teaching Excellence, Relay Graduate School of Education, and the University of Houston’s Alternative Certification Program. During her time at Teaching Excellence, she co-managed the instructional coach team and supported the program’s expansion into multiple partner school districts. Most recently, Petra has managed strategic EPP partnerships in various teacher entry pipelines for a large public school district.
