Dr. Jahnette Wilson
Technical Assistance Partner
Jahnette Wilson is a Clinical Professor at the University of Houston (UH), where she supports future teachers in preparing to be quality educators. She is the administrator for Site Coordinators who supervise Resident Teachers in the year-long residency program. She also serves as Director of Accreditation and supports certification programs in maintaining AAQEP accreditation.
In addition to her administrative duties, Jahnette teaches courses in the Curriculum and Instruction program at UH. Specifically, she teaches lesson planning and assessment, and is currently refining practices to support the shifts in lesson planning and the use of HQIM we are seeing in schools across the nation.
Before joining UH, Jahnette served as Math Specialist and then Assistant Principal in Spring Independent School District. She holds a BS in Education from Lamar University, an MEd in Library Information Science from Sam Houston State University, certification in Mid-Management from Sam Houston State University, and a Ed.D in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston.
