Dr. Amy Guillot

Amy Guillot is a teacher education professor of literacy in the College of Education and Health Professions at Texas A&M University-Victoria in Texas. Amy received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2004 and has been teaching literacy education in higher education since then. She is the current Chair of the Teacher Education Program and also teaches undergraduate and graduate literacy methods courses. In 2018, Amy began a Dyslexia Therapist certification program to enhance her understanding of reading disabilities, specifically dyslexia. She received her Dyslexia Therapist certification in 2020 after a two-year intensive preparation. Since then she has been tutoring students with dyslexia in her private practice.
